How to Make a Faux Fur Muff

How to Make a Faux Fur Muff

To match your faux fur shrug here's a recipe for a faux fur muff. With the blanket I bought from a home ware store I was able to make two fur wraps and two muffs for about US$20. Compared to buying a ready made wrap, shrug or muff and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank - pity there's no way round the inevitable muff jokes...

In step 1. sew a hem around three side of the faux fur and lining with the faux fur and lining facing inwards...
For the padding I used 2cm thick Dacron filler which comes in a roll and can be cut to size; generally the thicker your padding the smaller you will need to cut it to fill the muff. You could also use and old duvet or blanket cut to size and folded into layers to make up your padding if you're on a budget.

Sewing together the edges to create a barrel shape

All done! This will look great with the faux fur wrap project
