|Quick Fruit Crumble Recipe|
To make these fruit crumbles you will need:
A tin of fruit in syrup (or some stewed fresh fruit); apricots, peaches or apples make great fruit crumble
1 tsp of vanilla
2 tsp cornflour
Drain the fruit juice/syrup into a microwave-proof jug and divide the fruit between two oven-proof dishes
Mix the cornflour and vanilla together and add to the fruit juice/syrup.
Top with crumble mix and bake in a 180 degree oven until the top is crisp and brown
Serve with cream, ice cream or yogurt.
I make this in one big batch and store it in a zip lock bag in the freezer
- 1 cup white of wholemeal flour
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 100g butter
- 2T honey
Place all the ingredients into a food processor and zap until they look like fine breadcrumbs, add 1/2 cup of rolled oats and sprinkle over crumble or freeze in an airtight container.
